2015/2016 All China University Tennis Tournament (Guangzhou Region)
After three days of fierce competition, 2015/2016 All China University Tennis Tournament (Guangzhou Region) which organized by Tennis Branch of Federation of University Sports of China and hosted in the South China University of Technology was successfully concluded on 28 December 2015. There were about 200 participants took part in this division series which lasted three days since December 26. The participants are represented from the South China University of Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, University of Macau, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Xiamen University and other 19 colleges and universities nationwide respectively. UM Tennis Team participated in the Team Competition of Men’s Group A for the first time, and won the first runner-Up among the 12 colleges. Dr. Patrick CHAN (Director, Office of Sports Affairs) also showed up to support team members.
By virtue of the excellent results, UM tennis team has obtained the qualification of the 21th All China University Tennis Championships to be held in July 2016. A team of 4 UM Tennis Team members participated in the tournament, who were the MOK Ka Chon from FSS, LEONG Ka Leong and CHEN Bai Ming from FST, and ZHAO Lin Dun from FBA.
