TRAIN THE TRAINER PROGRAMME

The Train the Trainer Programme aims to provide opportunities for aspiring UM students to organize, coach and assist in various sports activities through the internship as a student coach. They can gain more skills, experience, knowledge and develop their ability to communicate and collaborate through this programme.

The objective of organizing the “Health & Fitness Instructor Certificate Course” and “Sports Coach Training Course” is to reinforce the competiveness and enhance physical & health knowledge for the student, who would like to extend their interest to the profession.

Course Content:

  • Physical fitness, Human Anatomy, Sports Physiology, Biomechanics (30 hours)
  • Internship (46 hours)

Participants:

  • UM students (Priority will be given to OSA/RC/PGH recommended students)

Number of Participants: 25 pax

  • Course (30 hours):

10 Oct: 09:00-13:00; 14:30-18:30

11 Oct: 09:00-13:00; 14:30-18:30

17 Oct: 09:00-13:00; 14:30-18:30

18 Oct: 10:00-13:00; 14:30-17:30

  • Internship:

Oct 2020 – Apr 2021 (46 hours)

Venue:

  • UM Sports Complex (N8)

Fees:

  • MOP600

Certification:

  • Certificate will be issued by International Personal Trainers and Fitness Academy (IPTFA)

  • Sports Injury Prevention (5 hours)
  • Basic First Aid Knowledge, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Use of Automated External Defibrillator (3 hours)
  • Physical Fitness Training (4 hours)
  • Internship (54 hours)

Participants:

  • UM Students (Priority will be given to UM Sports Teams members, UMSU Sports Sub-clubs members, RC/PGH Sports Team student coach)
