Macau University Swimming Championship
23rd Macau University Swimming Championship took place on 7th and 14th of January at Macau Olympic Aquatic Centre. This time the competition had University of Macau and Macao Polytechnic Institute as the participants. After two-day competition, the swimming team from the university of Macau (UM) swept 14 gold medals, 14 silver medals and 11 bronze medals. Besides, Chau Man Hou (FSS/CKPC) swept three individual gold medals and broke three records.
There are a total of 20 members from University of Macau swimming team participating this years’ championship. Among the members, Chau Man Hou stole the show by breaking his own record of Men’s 50m Freestyle and Men’s 50m Breaststroke, by 24.20s and 29.01s. Afterwards, He then broke Men’s 50m Butterfly by 25.49s, which brought him 3 gold medals. Other members from the swimming team of University of Macau including Lei On Kei, Tan Chi Tan, Choi Weng Tong, Li Jinding, Cheong Chou Hei, Long Chi Wai likewise won gold medals.
