2015-2016 Macau University Fencing Championship has been held in the Macao East Asian Games Dome on the 9th and 10th of this month. There are a total of five colleges participating in the event this year including University of Macau, Macau University of Science and Technology, Institute for Tourism Studies, City University of Macau and University of Saint Joseph. After two days of intense competition, the UM Fencing Team in men’s and women’s foil, epee and saber individual events won 2 gold, 2 silver and 7 bronze medals.
UM Fencing Team sent a total of 17 players participating in the championship. The master student of FST LOK KAI WANG, year-2 student of FST LEONG CHENG WAI, year-2 student of FED LEONG CHI LENG and master student GUO ZEQIAN respectively won the men’s foil champion, 1st runner-up and tied for 2nd runner-up respectively. Year-2 student of FSS HO KA U and year-1 student of FSS won the women’s foil 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up. Year-4 student of FSS ZHANG MILA, year-3 student of FBA and doctor student ZHANG XIN won the women’s saber champion and tied for the 2nd runner-up respectively. Master student of FBA LI JINGYAO and year-2 student WU XIAODAN also tied for women’s Epee 2nd runner-up.
